Joel Trujillo, known to taste-makers and dancefloor enthusiasts as DJ Killtron, has been moving crowds with his unique blend of forward-thinking underground music, crowd favorites, forgotten classics, and emerging trends from around the world since 2006. Killtron made a name for himself as a part of the Dallas underground dance party ‘Hot Flash’, an event masterminded by him that showcased hip-hop, house and disco to packed venues month after month and was consistently on the forefront of budding genres like dubstep, moombahton, Jersey Club, juke and many more. His theatrics and skills behind the decks, on the microphone and even on the dancefloor helped keep the party packed for over three years, and earned him coveted spots opening for such international acts as Flosstradamus and Grum, as well as being featured in local publications, both online and in print. Born in Mexico and raised in Dallas, and now based out of New York City Killtron draws on his diverse upbringing to keep his sets varied and interesting, combining it with his years of experience as part of a local and national community to keep crowds moving while he seamlessly blends and bends genres.
