Yoyoyoyoyoyo. After a long time of not posting, I’m back to say…. that I’m still not really going to be posting. HOWEVER, that’s because instead of trying cover stuff that’s going on (which I don’t really have time for) I’m going to be using this is a sort of repository for the stuff I make, which will hopefully grow more and more numerous! First in the renaissance is my latest mix SPRANG2k13. I recently started a residency at the wonderful Tate’s in uptown Dallas. It’s a small bar with a laid-back vibe and I get to play a lot of different things, including some more mainstream stuff that I normally didn’t. It’s still tasteful of course! New Kill the Noise Music video is Post Apocalyptic Candy

Zombies are played out and many people think the ultra aggressive ‘brostep’ sound is on the downfall, but this new Kill The Noise music video may prove the contrary. Following the usual tropes while avoiding being boring or redundant, the video’s day-glo romp through a zombie apocalypse world meshes perfectly with the angry grinding and almost sad symphonic notes of the track.

Today, 8-08, is kind of the unofficial celebration of one of the most used, celebrated and diverse drum machines in the history of musical instruments. Instantly recognizable and heard in a plethora of genres, the 808′s face shaking deep bass, solid kicks, and high energy claps still permeate music being made today. The Good folks at XLR8R released a new episode of their podcast today, by none other than madman producer Otto Von Schirach, and it’s full of thumpers and quite a few odder surprises.
